Admissions
The Lake School has a comprehensive Admissions Policy and Procedure statement set by the Board of Directors. Each family receives a copy of The Lake School General Information Sheet that includes information regarding the school and its admission policies during the admissions process. Summary points of the admissions policy are as follows:
- The Lake School admits children of any race, color, religion and national or ethnic origin.
- Admission is on a space-available basis with priorities for admission as defined in the admission materials. The Lake School does endeavor to gender balance the classes. The Lake School does consider age appropriateness in placing children in specific classes and the Director may use reasonable discretion in assigned the students to class.
- A child who is at least 2 years, 6 months of age as of September 1st and is marginally toilet trained may be admitted to the program. We seek to admit applicants who are developmentally ready for The Lake School program.
- Forms, fees and appropriate tuition must be received by published deadlines to ensure enrollment.
Copies of the Admissions Policy and Procedure Statement as well as summaries of admission and re-admission procedures with scheduled dates for new and returning students are available from the Director. Please note that the school will defer sending information or listing any child in a pool of interested families until two years prior to entrance.
